Beloved,

Jesus offers us a mind-blowing promise in Mark 11:22-24 Have faith in God...whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

As a Body, we are asking our God for some kingdom-sized answers to prayer. We are asking for His presence to come to our city, we are asking for significant provision for our Body, we are asking for intimate encounter with Him and experiences of His power in our lives.

The key to receiving what we are asking for is faith. And this faith is not in ourselves, or even in the goodness of the things we are requesting. Rather, it is faith in God. To trust Him, we must know Him. As Andrew Murray writes, "Believing God is looking to God and what He is, allowing Him to reveal his presence, giving Him time and yielding the whole being to take in the full impression on what He is as God."

So if you have come to the point in your praying where you absolutely must see an answer to your prayers - let me exhort you to press on to know Him! He is not only where your answers are found, He Himself is your greatest and most necessary answer. Listen again to Murray and be encouraged to pursue not only the promises of God, but God Himself:

"Faith in the promise of God is the fruit of faith in the Promiser: the prayer of faith is rooted in the life of faith. It is because very many of God's children do not understand this connection between the life of faith and the prayer of faith that their experience of the power of prayer is so limited."

Murray's prayer for his church is my prayer for ours: "O my Blessed Savior! how can Thy Church glorify Thee, how can it fulfill that work of intercession through which Thy kingdom must come, unless our whole life by 'Faith in God'? Blessed Lord! speak Thy Word 'Have faith in God' into the depths of our souls. Amen."
